I sent my Sup my plans and he said they were just fine and to write as much as I can before going out again. I am most pleased. Actually, I ought to arrange a meeting with him next week now I know I shall be up north...
It is strange to know think that all the writing I am doing is second draft, and closer to the final edit than ever... I am writing for keeps now! No more joking around, this puppy has to be finished by Sept next year! Arg!
Whatever will I do without it?
Oh I know - I will have a baby. Of a different, more squealy sort. Fabulous.

About Me
- Numpty
- Well... I am a 36 year old PhD graduate, a Mum of two little boys and I stay at home to look after them. I have two blogs... This one, 'Trials and Tribulations of a Numpty' is a continuation of the first, 'Trials and Tribulations of a PhD student'... It's just a space for me to keep wittering on basically :) The latter blog was written throughout my time as a PhD student, from the initial stress of the monitoring meeting which got me onto the course proper in 2008 when I was 29. I was funded by the ESRC and based in the UK. I finally got my doctorate (awarded with minor corrections) in March 2013. Along the way I got engaged and married, completed months of research in India, became the Mum to a boy who was a boisterous 3 year old at the time of completion, and finished happily pregnant with another wean. This blog provided a wonderful space to chat and vent and ramble over the years and, hopefully, produce some sort of insight into the day-to-day world of confusion, procrastination, failure and success that was completing a PhD. I continue to present this confusion, procrastination, failure and success as it dogs me in my normal life. Come join! x N

How's tricks?
Babies have an advantage over PhDs ..... you can put your baby up for adoption if you've had enough!
Finally got round to starting writing my PhD blog and starting to update the personal one again.
yes, I could have someone look after my baby too - I would never let anyone look after my PhD! hehe.
