Monday 4 August

Hello hello, happy Monday all.

As I write, it is so dark outside, I have my lamp on and it is raining, raining, raining. I love it! I am so cosy in my little book-lined, big windowed, plant-filled office. Yum. I am not going anywhere today so have barely got dressed (well, I am in clean clothes but not in a state to receive visitors...) and am going to sit here until about 6pm. And write and work and think like a proper student. I am going to imagine that I am a good student, and then be it.

Yesterday was a great day in the end. Despite my protestations DB did go to the gym and I soon followed suit on the exercise front - and went for a 4 mile run! 4 miles! I haven't run that far for about two years. I was sooooo tired last night I tell you. I have the race forms for the half marathon printed out here and will send them off later today. I can run a third of the way now so should be able to scrape through. I am convinced I will be the slowest by a mile - at the mo it will take me over three hours! I intend to speed up though soon enough - as long as I have strength and stamina I will be ok... I have only a month though. Eeek! I can't wait though - how amazing to do it!

I also read a lot of this new book I have been dying to read and it is magic. It underscores a lot of my own opinions so it very useful. I read it all evening and then collapsed in front of Top Gear (?! I really enjoyed it and am the opposite of a petrolhead-type person! They are so silly!) while DB made me some lovely stir fry and I didn't interfere once. Well done me.

So on to today!

I will:
* complete another INGO case study
* work out what is going on with this chapter: should it be chapter four as it currently is, or chapter five? Should I be listing each INGO as a case study or doing as themes?

I will also be putting TN to the back of my mind for now, to be revisited at the beginning of Sept. Fantastic fantastic. One thing at a time.

Anon!

x J
