Round up

Today has been a pretty good, normal working day that I would be more than happy repeating. I would like to have concentrated better and for longer but for a Monday and the first 'proper' day back fter a week off I am pleased.

The past few days have been fairly transformative actually - particularly realising that I am not going to TN until November now... I haven't heard from my volunteer peeps and shan't tell my Sup until I do. They normally take ages to get back to me so, as they say, no news is good news. I feel like I can cope with it all now, now I have this 'extra' month. I bought some hiking/walking boots today on ebay for £7 incl. p and p! They are for TN - it wil be monsoon and dodgy walking around just in flippy floppys. I want them in general though, they will be mighty useful for walks etc around here. Am not usually into sensible outdoorsy gear but am gradually getting much more of an interest in hiking and cycling and such like. I feel like I have made a move toward getting to TN though and so am pleased. I also looked at trekking sandals and some linen trousers and there are a few bargains to be had!

Today I managed to steer my work back on course (not finished yet - is a LOT of copy and pasting to be doing) and, although I am irritated that I went the wrong way for a while, the content is useful or has been pasted into my introduction. I have managed to cut down 650 words too which is pleasing. I got worried and asked on the forum how long it takes people to write a chapter and it seems I am probably doing ok. I have been doing this for nearly two months and have been reading for it, analysing and writing. I reckon, now I am not in a bind, I will have it finished for the end of next week. I know I have extended the deadline again but seeing as I have an extra month there is no point finishing it half-heartedly to meet a deadline I don't need any more. I am enthused by my 'new' (about time) conscience toward getting it done too and generally trust myself so think it will be fine. Then I can get onto more fun stuff.

It has turned into a beautiful day outside I just realised. Because I am very hot!
